With the beautiful climate and coupled with the range of facilities available, Mallorca is an ideal location for corporate away days. I’ll share a shortlist of fun and budget-friendly team-building activities that you can include in the next team retreat, weekend team getaway, or after-office activities.
Dune Buggies
This might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Mallorca, however, I am yet to find a more fun way to explore some of the island’s beaches and mountains. The thrill of the dune buggy, a combination of adrenaline, adventure, and excitement mixed in with the scenery on offer make this a brilliant way to spend some time. There is not a massive variety of providers at the moment, but the four-wheeled adventure seems to be gaining popularity, so expect to see more popping up soon.
Paintball
Mallorca has several excellent paintball centers, there is even indoor paintball in Palma. With the Mallorcan weather being as good as it is, it can be much nicer to get shot out in the open air and sunshine. Luckily for us, the top-class facilities are spread throughout the island, so you will always be near to a facility where you can go and have a fun day out.
Go-Karting
Karting is one of the most popular activities amongst tourists. There are go-karting tracks located all around the island. They usually offer different tracks and several kart options depending on age and experience.
Rock Climbing
Mallorca offers the perfect destination for rock climbers, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced climber there are routes to challenge and amaze. With virtually year-round accessibility and more than 600 modern sports climbs, 16 main sectors, and more traditional lines at the higher mountains, there is no shortage of variety. There are plenty of schools offering everything from basic equipment hire through to expert tuition.
Cliff Jumping
Adrenaline junkies will love a cliff jumping adventure. Shimmy along rocky ravines, abseil down sheer cliffs and dive into startling blue lagoons on this fun-filled 4.5-hour tour in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana mountains.
Water Canyoning
The Canyon of Coanegra is the most beautiful one in Mallorca. The color of the Orient Valley, its turquoise pools and its waterfalls provide an impressive landscape. Although it is an “easy” level descent, it is one of the most “amazing” and exciting canyons on the island.
Flowboarding
Put music and beats emanating from DJ turntables and California surfing together and you will have a most mesmerizing and powerful form of entertainment: it’s called flowboarding.
Relatively new – its popularity began to spread in the early 1990’s – flow boarding is an alchemy of board design, tricks, and techniques from various sports like surfing, skateboarding, and wakeboarding where flowboarders ride on artificial waves that are technically called “sheet waves”.
Beach Olympics
Guaranteed weather means outdoor activities will rarely be “rained off” whilst the landscape of mountains, beaches and countryside provide perfect natural facilities.
