XXI RALLY CLÁSICO ISLA MALLORCA

Set against the stunning backdrop of Mallorca’s landscapes, the XXI Rally Clásico Isla Mallorca promises a blend of competitive racing and social engagement. This prestigious event has firmly established itself as a highlight in Mallorca’s motorsport calendar, drawing participants and spectators across Europe. Taking place 6th to 8th March, 2025, the race continues to uphold its tradition of excellence.

Among competitors, renowned Italian rally driver Andrea Aghini will debut at the XXI Rally Clásico Isla de Mallorca. Aghini was mainly known for his speed on tarmac rallies, which made him a strong competitor in European and Italian events. Celebrated for his 1992 Rally Sanremo victory and multiple World Rally Championship podiums, he will pilot his iconic Lancia Delta Integrale. His participation adds significant prestige to the event, promising an exhilarating experience for motorsport enthusiasts and further elevating the rally’s international profile.

Andrea Aghini

Andrea Aghini is a former Italian rally driver, best known for his performances in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and the Italian Rally Championship.

Aghini gained recognition in the 1990s for his skill on tarmac and gravel rallies, particularly with Lancia and Toyota.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Aghini stated: “This year, I’m honored to be on the island of Mallorca, navigating its beautiful roads with a Lancia Delta Martini. We hope to entertain the numerous spectators who always attend the event in Mallorca.” 

The 2025 rally is set to make history with record participation, featuring teams from 14 countries competing across 13 timed stages that cover over 500 kilometers, with 170 kilometers on exclusive closed roads.

Notably, the challenging Sa Calobra stage, a 21-kilometer stretch to Lluc, remains a thrilling highlight for both drivers and fans, promising an adrenaline-pumping experience.

Location: Primarily based in Puerto Portals, a renowned marina serving as the rally’s central hub. 

Categories

Competition: divided into three independent overall classifications based on vehicle production years:

• Pre-1981

• Pre-1990

• Pre-1998

• Regularity: Features fast and slow average speed categories for vehicles built up to 1992. 

Schedule Highlights

Thursday, March 6: Official start at 6:00 PM; first car returns by 8:00 PM.

Friday, March 7: Start at 8:00 AM; first car returns by 5:00 PM.

Saturday, March 8: Start at 8:00 AM; first car returns by 5:00 PM.

Awards Ceremony: Saturday at 7:00 PM in Puerto Portals.
