Fira del Fang (Pottery Fair, Marratxí)

March 5 @ 08:00 March 15 @ 17:00 CET

Pottery Fair

Each March, Marratxí—long regarded as the island’s ceramic soul—hosts the Fira del Fang, a celebration of craftsmanship that feels both deeply rooted and quietly evolving. In 2026, the fair returns from 5–15 March in Sant Marçal, continuing a tradition shaped by over three centuries of pottery on the island.

Centred around the Plaça de Sant Marçal and the La Verònica exhibition space, the fair gathers artisans from across Mallorca and beyond, transforming the town into a living showcase of clay in all its forms. Here, time-honoured pieces such as greixoneres sit alongside contemporary designs, while live demonstrations reveal the precision and patience behind Mallorca’s distinctive ceramics, including the playful, symbolic siurells.

The experience extends beyond the stalls. Workshops, exhibitions, and a programme of music and cultural events bring a lively rhythm to the week, inviting visitors to engage rather than simply observe. One of the most charming moments is the Ruta Fang Tapa, where local restaurants pair traditional dishes with handcrafted pottery, turning each table into part of the story.

Just a short drive from Palma and free to attend, the Fira del Fang offers something rare: a genuine connection to Mallorca’s creative heritage, shaped by earth, fire, and human touch.
